That year was 1985. It's time for Dennis, Mark and Peter to celebrate their first birthdays. To celebrate the day, mother Karin Schultz baked a beautiful cake for the triplets. Just as they were enjoying the cake, Karin hurriedly took a group photo of the three and attached the birthday sign. Little did she know then that this special birthday snap would be the reason the three brothers would get together every year for their birthdays and click on the same photo.

It is truly a beautiful thing to see the boys grow up and the changes that come with them. However, no one knew at the time that her photo would be the last of her 33rd birthday. Try to hold back your tears when you know exactly what happened.

Matching Jerseys

It's her second birthday, and this time Dennis, Mark and Peter have a small idea. Eagerly waiting to be clicked, Karin didn't fail to capture the triplets in matching football shirts and innocent smiles. They must have thanked their mothers in some way. Birthday signs haven't gone unnoticed either. It hung on the door behind them.

It was a reminder for the boys from Karin. There's no cake in the frame, but the same jersey definitely makes up for it. Looking at her, it's clear that all three brothers are enjoying the moment and all attention is on them. Those smiles said it all. Beyond that, they don't know what's in store for them on the path called life.

Starting A Tradition

For their third birthday, the boys were wearing cozy sweaters and sitting on the sofa waiting to be clicked. The best part is that the little ones didn't forget to hold up their birthday signs. The boys are grown up and their seventh birthday is approaching. This time they don't have a matching sweater. They develop different tastes and like to wear whatever they like. But Karin made sure Dennis, Mark and Peter wore matching overalls for their traditional birthday photoshoot.

And the birthday logo Karin designed for her. The brothers went through many changes, both physically and mentally, as evident in the images they clicked on over the next two to three years. However, Karin is proud of her children and seeing them grow up so quickly is a beautiful moment for her.

Unique Colors

Dennis, Mark and Peter are eight years old. Although everything was more or less the same, the brothers decided to style their outfits a little differently. The sweater goes well. However, they chose other colors. This birthday photo will be the last in her family. Just a month after Karin clicked the photo, a disaster shocked the family.

A gas leak burned the entire house. Of course no one was hurt. But the family has many memories of the house. The boys grew up in the house, and the accident took them off course. They became homeless, but when they started living with their neighbors, they were quickly overwhelmed with housing. Tough times for the family.

A New Start For The Boys

After the house burned down, her neighbor Wilma put her under protection. Wilma loved the boys so much, she even helped Karin design her ninth birthday logo. Wilma was indeed very welcoming to the family and the house was comfortable. But your own house is your own house.

The boys miss their home and get emotional every time they recall what happened. Wilma's house was their temporary home until their own home was rebuilt. Although it has been almost a year, the enthusiasm of the boys does not stop there. The new house later brought many fond memories to the family.

Never Miss the Tradition

Karin and her triplets now have a new home of their own. But the photo she clicked on for her tenth birthday changed slightly. The garden is now in the background. From the age of ten, the brothers matured. Peter bought a camera with the money he had saved for a long time. The old house was destroyed by fire.

While Mark and Dennis were allowed to attend high school, the parents of the triplets decided to keep Peter in elementary school for another year. Due to some difficulties and frequent doctor visits, Peter often had to miss school. He has no choice. The boys were really sad because it was the first time in their lives that they weren't together.

That's pretty frustrating. But they understand why parents were forced to make this decision. Peter had to take care of himself for another year, which seemed like the most practical decision at the time. But Peter was going to high school too, and he was waiting for the moment.

The motive behind Fort Sedgwick's abandonment

The wolves were temperamental.

To portray "Two Socks," the wolves Dunbar befriends, the producers employed two wolves named Buck and Teddy. Even though these were supposed to be domesticated and submissive wolves, it didn't imply they were simple to handle.

The managers had to be very patient and have plenty of leftover meals to coax the wolves into cooperating. Costner had to go in to complete the scenario since one of the trainers had even been bitten by a wolf.

The group was in South Dakota then, and winter was just around the corner. The crew had to work around the challenging weather because most of the film was shot outside. Because it was too chilly out, the team decided to film the scene at night inside a Quonset hut.
